About
Hi, I'm Björn-Eric.
I'm the developer, photographer and drone pilot behind Arctus Digital, a one-person company in Helsinki.
[PLACEHOLDER] A few sentences about your background: where you work during the day, how long you have built for the web, and how photography and flying drones became part of it.
I started Arctus Digital to help small businesses get a website that works, with pictures that actually show who they are. The software is the core. The photos and video are there to make it better.
The name and the bear
My first name, Björn, means "bear" in Swedish and Norwegian. "Arctus" comes from the Greek arktos, which also means bear, and is the root of the word "Arctic".
So the name is a bear from the north. The logo says the same thing: a bear looking up at the Big Dipper, the best-known part of the constellation Ursa Major, the Great Bear.
How I work
- Arctus Digital is a side business. I run it alongside a day job, so I take on a limited number of projects at a time. That means I can give each one proper attention.
- You deal with me directly. The person you talk to is the person who does the work.
- Honest scheduling. Before we start, I tell you when I can begin and when the work will be ready. If something changes, you hear it from me first.
- No lock-in. You own your website and your content. When the work is done, you get the access details and clear notes.
- Response times. I usually reply within two working days. I don't offer round-the-clock support.
Have a project in mind?
Tell me a little about it. Even a rough idea is enough to start with.
